Warranty FAQs
Do I need to register my product for the warranty to be valid?
No formal registration is required. Your Windlass Central order confirmation or invoice is sufficient proof of purchase for any claim.
What should I do if my windlass or accessory develops a fault?
Contact our team as soon as you notice the issue, with photos and your order details. Early reporting helps us process your claim faster and reduces the risk of secondary damage.
Can I get advice before buying to make sure I choose the right model?
Yes. We offer free technical pre-purchase support to help you match the correct windlass, gearbox, and accessories to your vessel and chain size before you order, which also helps avoid warranty issues caused by an undersized or mismatched setup.
What if I purchased through a different Muir dealer?
Warranty claims are generally handled through your original point of purchase. If that isn’t possible, get in touch with us and we’ll advise the best path forward.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my boat?
Transferability can depend on the component and circumstances. Contact our team ahead of a sale and we’ll confirm what applies to your specific products.
