If you create an account with us, please:

You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account, so treat your login the way you’d treat a set of keys.

We work hard to keep specifications, dimensions, load ratings, and voltage details accurate — but marine equipment specs can change between manufacturer revisions, so always check the specification sheet on the product page, or ask us, before ordering equipment for a specific vessel or installation.

Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may be updated at any time ahead of order confirmation. Once you receive an order confirmation email, the price you paid is locked in for that order.

All orders are subject to product availability. By placing an order, you’re confirming that your payment details are valid and that you’re authorised to use them. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order — for example, if there’s a pricing error, a stock issue, or a suspected fraud concern — and we’ll always let you know if that happens.

We ship worldwide from Melbourne, Australia. Delivery estimates shown at checkout are our best guide, not a guarantee — customs processing, carrier capacity, and remote or regional addresses can all affect transit time, and these are largely outside our control.

Free shipping applies to orders over US$300 within the Windlasses, Drum Winches, and Capstans categories — it isn’t site-wide, so smaller accessory orders may carry a shipping charge shown at checkout.

Changed your mind, or ordered the wrong part? Here’s how returns work:

• Within 7 days of delivery — full refund.
• Within 30 days of delivery — exchange or store credit.
• Items need to be unused and back in their original packaging.
• Custom-built and made-to-order items can’t be returned unless they arrive faulty.

Once a returned item passes inspection, we process the refund or credit promptly.

Muir equipment sold through Windlass Central is covered by manufacturer warranty, and coverage varies by component — deck mechanicals and gearboxes on Inox Pro SS316 windlasses are covered for longer than motors, seals, chain, or rope, for example. Windlasses, capstans, and anchoring hardware are safety-related equipment. It’s your responsibility to confirm a product is correctly sized and rated for your vessel, and to have it installed in line with the manufacturer’s instructions — by a qualified marine installer where required. If you’re unsure which model or chain size fits your vessel, ask us before you order; that’s what our team is here for.

When using our website, please don’t:

• Use it for anything fraudulent or unlawful.
• Try to interfere with or disrupt how the site runs.
• Copy or reuse our product content, photography, or specifications without permission.
• Scrape or crawl the site with automated tools without our authorisation.

We may suspend an account or take legal action where these are breached — but this is very much a last resort, not a first response.

The Windlass Central name and logo, along with the photography, copy, and design on this site, belong to us or our licensors. You’re welcome to browse and share links, but please don’t reproduce or repurpose our content commercially without asking first.

To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site, for brief interruptions to the site itself, or for third-party sites we link to.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms. You’re free to close your own account at any time — just email us and we’ll take care of it.

We may update these Terms occasionally as our business or policies evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version — it’s worth a glance if you haven’t ordered from us in a while.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any dispute will be handled under that jurisdiction — without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
